Hinesville police are looking for a suspect in a reported Sunday morning incident where a victim was shot several times outside a business.

According to a Hinesville Police Department incident report, an officer responded to Liberty Regional Medical Center on Sunday at 1:50 a.m. on the report of a gunshot victim.

When the officer arrived, he was approached by two women, one claiming to be the ex-girlfriend of the gunshot victim. The woman told the officer, Wan Shin, they had been at Hookah Lounge on the 900 block of E.G. Miles Parkway when her former boyfriend was shot several times. The former girlfriend placed the victim into a vehicle and drove him to Liberty Regional Medical Center’s emergency room.

When Shin made contact with the victim, he told the officer he was shot by a light-skinned Black male who had a low haircut. The assailant was wearing a white shirt with black writing and black pants.

The victim, who was later transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, had sustained a wound to his left thigh, right hand, striking two fingers, and his left arm, which had been grazed by a bullet.

His current condition is unknown. Hinesville detectives are asking for the public’s help with any information they may have by calling 912-368-8211 or 911.
