Progress through People luncheon to focus on historic sites

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce will host their monthly Progress Through People Luncheon On Thursday, October 9that 12 noon.  The Luncheon is sponsored by the Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and will feature a panel discussion with the directors of some of Liberty County’s historic sites and attractions.

 Scheduled to participate in the panel are Jim Bacote of Geechee Kunda;  Diane Kroell of the Midway Museum; Mayor Bill Austin of the Dorchester Academy Association and Michelle Ricketson of the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority.

 “We are pleased to bring this group together and hope that those who attend the luncheon will gain insight to the significant historical and cultural value these sites bring to our county,” said CVB Program Manager Amanda Scott. “Our goal at the CVB is to showcase Liberty County’s heritage to its residents, the state of Georgia and beyond.”

 The Luncheon will be held at The Liberty County Board of Education Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Hwy. in Flemington.
