A Ludowici Police officer seized a half pound of alleged marijuana during a traffic stop early Monday, according to a news release from the Ludowici PD.

While on routine patrol, Sgt. Phillip Bohannon stopped a Dodge Durango for loud music on Highway 84 at 8:58 a.m. During the stop, the suspected drug was seized from the vehicle. The driver, Thomas Greer, 28, of Ludowici was charged with the loud music violation and felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

He was also allegedly wanted by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office for a felony probation hold for terroristic threats, criminal trespass and cruelty to children.

Greer was arrested and taken to the Ludowici Jail for processing and to await extradition to Liberty County once bond is set for the Long County local charges.
