Susan M. Lash, 31, was arrested March 21 by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, according to Long County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Tom Sollosi.
He said the woman, who had been employed at a convenience store in Long County’s Sand Hill community, is believed to have stolen $2,500 in cash and more than $100 in merchandise from the store.
She has been on the run since June 2, 2013, after being charged with theft by taking, Sollosi said. Once an extradition hearing has been scheduled, Lash will be brought back to Ludowici for prosecution.
“The LCSO wishes to thank Sheriff Grady Judd and Det. Mike Robertson with the PCSO for their valuable assistance in the arrest of this suspect,” Sollosi said.
