The woman accused of firing a shot that nearly hit a sleeping woman in Hinesville about 6:30 a.m. Sunday has been identified as Neacie Blige, 51, according to HPD Det. Jeff Lui.
Blige has been charged with simple battery and criminal damage to property.
Lui said a .357 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun was recovered from her home. The detective said the woman reported firing into the air, and that when she learned the bullet nearly hit someone, Blige was remorseful and began to cry.
