The Liberty County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals’ Office are requesting the publics help finding an escapee from the Liberty County Jail in Hinesville.

Authorities are looking for Shorell Brown, 30, of Midway.

Brown has been convicted of burglary, false imprisonment and assault. He was sentenced to serve up to 13 years and was awaiting transfer to a state prison.

The sheriff's office is following up on leads and has requested the publics help. Brown is to be considered armed and dangerous based on prior offenses.
