A man was arrested Nov. 25 in Long County for allegedly firing shots during an argument.
LCSO Lt. Tom Sollosi said three deputies responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the Sand Hills community. Witnesses said Richard W. Blocker and a second man were arguing about a female. Blocker retrieved a rifle from a vehicle and reportedly pointed it at the man he was arguing with and several other people, whom he threatened. Blocker then allegedly fired three shots.
According to information provided by Sollosi, it is unclear whether Blocker fired the shots in the air or at a specific target. Blocker, who Sollosi said had been drinking, was arrested.
