The Long County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested a Ludowici man for his alleged involvement in a burglary in the Rye Patch community. They are looking for a second suspect.
According to LCSO Lt. Tom Sollosi, at around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8, Deputy Austin McGinn responded to a report of a burglary. A witness told McGinn that he saw two men removing a washer and dryer from a laundry room at an apartment building on Palmer Road. The men reportedly loaded the appliances into the back of a red truck and drove off.
Sollosi said one suspect was identified as Quentin Blige, 32, and after authorities followed up on the investigation, a warrant was obtained for Blige and he was arrested.
The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help finding the second suspect. Sollosi said the truck and the suspect may be around the Palmer Road or Rye Patch areas. Anyone with information on the incident should call the LCSO at 545-2118.
