The final environmental-impact statement for the proposed modernization and expansion of Townsend Bombing Range in McIntosh and Long counties has been published and now is available to the public. A copy of the federal-register notice and the final EIS can be found at www.townsendbombingrangeeis.com.
Regulations require a 30-day waiting period after the final EIS is published before the agency may take final action. During that period, agencies and the public can present comments on the final EIS.
