Earlier story

One woman was killed and other people were injured in a five-vehicle accident on I-95 a couple miles south of Midway early Monday.
The crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. It was not clear whether the dense fog in the area at the time contributed to the wreck.
Few details were available from the scene. More reports are expected later.

Seven people were taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, according to Liberty Regional Medical Center EMS Director Robyn Todd. Three are listed in critical condition and had to be extracted from their vehicle. Two victims were able to walk on their own, the others needed emergency personnel assistance. No one was ejected from their vehicles, Todd said.
