A former deputy with the Long County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested and charged with three counts of child cruelty.
McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Danny Lowe said Andy Cornelius Young was taken into custody Thursday regarding charges that involve Young’s children.
The Long County Sheriff’s Office said Young was released from duty three weeks ago pending an investigation into these charges, according to Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles.
