According to Walthourville Police Chief Tracy McFadden, a Liberty County Sheriff's Office deputy shot and killed an armed man Sunday morning in the parking lot of Bo Maz night club in Walthourville. 

The shooting stemmed from an altercation in which another person had been shot in the leg and taken to a local hospital.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is working on the case.
