Dogs fighting stir up neighbhors

Recent reports filed with the Liberty County Sheriff's office include:

Aug. 6
Entering auto — At the water-treatment plant in Hinesville, there was a report of six stolen vehicle batteries.
They were 12-volt batteries taken from four cars. Three were taken from two Ford trucks, two were taken from a Gradall, and the last one was taken from a Kaiser Spider. The plant supervisor last saw the vehicles running Aug. 1.
There was no video surveillance of the facility.

Found contraband — A deputy assisting the Walthourville Police Department at Panela Lane found three marijuana plants to the side of the residence.
The plants were taken to the evidence room, but no files were charged.

Aug. 7
Dog attack — A dog fight was reported at Green Wood Turn in Midway.
The complainant said the neighborhood’s stray dog was attacked by two pit bulls owned by her neighbor.
The stray received a minor cut on his head. None of the dogs were on the leash, but after they attacked the stray dog, their owner immediately leashed them up.
The pit bulls’ owner said the stray dog always messes with his dogs, and his dogs have a tendency to be aggressive since they’re both males.
Environmental Services was notified of the situation.
