Aug. 30: Lost or mislaid property — A man told police he had been discussing gun rights with his wife and her friend.
The man, a gun owner, said his wife’s friend became upset when she learned he carried a gun with him in his vehicle. Prior to his wife driving her friend home, the man showed the unloaded gun to the friend. After she had gone, he was unable to locate the gun.
The man thought his wife might have taken it with her. Upon returning to the house, the man’s wife told him she did not have the gun. When police arrived at the house, the husband appeared to be intoxicated.
The officer suggested the man look for the gun after he was sober.
