Hinesville Police arrest rape suspect

The Hinesville Police Department has arrested a man for an alleged rape on Nov. 1.

Earvin Lamar Robinson, 26, was found Thursday near Liberty Manor Court and placed under arrest.

He faces rape and aggravated assault charges. HPD Officer James Williams said more charges might be pending.

Williams said the rape took place around 7 a.m. and happened in the area of Veteran’s Parkway and South Main Street.

HPD began investigating the incident and issued a "be-on-the-lookout," bulletin a few days after the incident that was released to the Courier and posted on social media sites.

The bulletin described the suspect and reported that he was considered dangerous,

"After two months of investigations, evidence pointed to a suspect who was arrested Thursday," Williams said.

Robinson had his first appearance before Magistrate Court Friday morning where he was denied bond.
