There is going to be a lane closure on Highway 84 near Bill Carter Road this week, according to the Georgia DOT.

The intersection is between Highway 196 and Midway and day-time closure is to allow for construction to realign of Bill Carter Road with the highway, which is also called State Route 38. It starts Monday and will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, weather permitting.

DOT will put up signs, barrels and/or cones to alert motorists of the changes.
