Aug. 28: Theft by taking — A Liberty County Mosquito Control employee reported that his $1,500 Geo Metro was missing from the Limerick Road office where he left it. He last remembered driving it about a month ago and noticed it missing Aug. 28. The responding deputy did not see physical evidence to indicate the vehicle was taken recently.

Aug. 30: DUI — A woman was arrested for DUI and open container around 1:20 a.m. on Dunlevie Road in Allenhurst after deputies saw her driving erratically and turning her lights on and off. An Alco-Sensor test indicated her blood-alcohol level to be .195, though the woman declined later Breathalyzer attempts. She also had two beers in the vehicle with her. She was transported to Liberty County Jail and issued two citations.

Sept. 1: DUI — A Riceboro man was arrested for DUI and operating without headlights around 9:20 p.m. at Peter King Road and Fuller Drive. At first, he denied drinking, until a test indicated strong presence of alcohol. He then admitted he had beer earlier in the evening, including about two hours prior to the arrest. He was transported to the Liberty County Jail, where two samples indicated he had blood-alcohol levels of .118 and .115.
