April 3: A Rye Patch Road man and his sister called the sheriff’s office and said the man was being threatened by his 17-year-old girlfriend’s mother and aunt.

The man said his girlfriend is five weeks pregnant, and her family has made threats to kill him.

The man’s sister said she received a text message from her brother’s girlfriend saying she was breaking up with the man because her family threatened to kill him if they stayed together.

The man said he feared for his safety and the safety of his unborn child. The complainant was advised of magistrate proceedings and given a case number.

A deputy was dispatched to the parking lot of a business on West Oglethorpe Highway, where a woman said another woman had sprayed her van with a purple substance that would not come off even after she’d washed the vehicle.

The manager of the business agreed to provide a DVD with surveillance footage of the incident.

The complainant was told to provide an estimate as to what it would cost to repair her vehicle.
