A complainant reported a pistol was missing from his vehicle. He noticed it was missing when he got the vehicle back after it had been in for repairs, but advised the sheriff’s office he did not think the repair company had anything to do with the weapon’s disappearance. The complainant stated the last time he saw the gun it was in December. It was under the driver’s seat at the time. The missing item is described as a stainless steel Colt pistol, model number 1911, 45-caliber.

Theft by taking
Feb. 11, 2007
Hardwick, Walthourville

A complainant informed the sheriff’s office her son’s vehicle had all the tires and rims removed. Complainant believed her ex-husband took the tires and rims so she would not be able to use the vehicle while her son was out of town. She was advised on warrant procedures.

Burglary
Feb. 12, 2007
Sabreena Circle, Walthourville

Sheriff deputies responded to a complainant who stated someone had broken into his residence. Deputies found that several screens were removed on a window at the backside of the house to gain entry. Items that were in a jewelry box were taken. Deputies turned the investigation over to the detective unit.
