May 31: Criminal trespass — A complainant living on Ruben Wells Road in Hinesville said that at 3:45 a.m., she found the rear driver’s side window of her car broken along with all of its doors unlocked. The glove box also was open, but she said nothing was stolen from the vehicle.

Battery — A deputy was dispatched to Tru Playas night club in Midway because of a fight. The complainant said that three men jumped him, beat him up and left in a black Cadillac Escalade with rims. Emergency medical services workers came because the complainant’s left eye was swollen and black. The complainant was too intoxicated to remember his address, so he was driven to the Fort Stewart police station.

Disorderly conduct — Deputies responded to threats being made on Live Oak Church Road in Hinesville. The complainant said her neighbors were pulling into their driveway and began making threats to her, with one saying she was going to kill the complainant with the gun in her trunk. The complainant never saw the firearm, but did see the case for a gun.
The deputy talked to the neighbor, who said she did not make threats to the complainant. She told the deputy that she threatened the complainant’s brother. She said if he ever came back to her house again, she would blow his brains out. She told the deputy she did not have a gun, but she admitted to grabbing the gun case from her trunk when speaking to the complainant.

Criminal trespass — A deputy was dispatched to Oak Drive in Midway when a woman reported her potted plants were damaged. She said she left her residence to purchase cigarettes, and when she came back, her plants and trees on her back porch were destroyed. She said she had an argument with her neighbor earlier over chickens in her yard. She thinks the neighbor was the one who destroyed the plants. The cost to replace the damaged plants would be $100. The neighbor said she was with her husband checking crab traps at the time of the incident. There was no evidence that the neighbor did the damage.
