April 12: Simple battery/stalking/aggressive driving — A woman was arrested and taken to jail when deputies found a machete, sword and a handgun that were used to threaten her husband, in the woman’s vehicle after she repeatedly followed and rammed her car into his on Highway 144 in Fort Stewart.

April 14
Disorderly conduct — A father who did not approve of his daughter’s choice of husband tried to keep his daughter from collecting her kids. The man said he had the children because his daughter had been incarcerated and didn’t want her to come into his house to collect the kids because he didn’t approve of her husband. The daughter told deputies when she tried to go inside and get her kids her father pushed her back from the door.
Deputies had to inform the father that his daughter still had sole custody of the children and therefore he had to let her take the children.

April 15
Simple battery — A woman said she was standing outside her house talking to someone when another woman came up to her and hit her twice on the head for no apparent reason.
She said the woman took off running when she saw her call the cops. The cops were unable to find the alleged assailant.

Simple battery ­— A woman said she was peacefully sleeping inside her Joyner Road home when her husband choked her and woke her up yelling about his missing Georgia identification card. She said she was able to break free and run and he chased her but she managed to get away and call for help.
The husband had left the scene before deputies could speak with him.
