Deputy Wade Long spoke with a man in the parking lot of BO-MAZ who said he was jumped and beaten by four men he has an ongoing feud with. The deputy reported he saw marks on the man confirming he was hit.

Public intoxication
Shepherd Drive, Allenhurst

Deputy Wade Long was on routine patrol when he reported a man sitting on the curb with his feet in the roadway. Long stopped to question the man who said he was just trying to make his way home. The deputy reported the man smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. The man was given a breath test that tested positive for alcohol. He was arrested and taken to jail.

Carrying a concealed weapon, safety restraint violation, no driver's license on person
West Oglethorpe highway, Walthourville

Deputy Wade Long and Adam Denton stopped a truck after they were told the man in the truck pulled up his shirt and showed another man a gun in a threatening manner. The man who said he saw the gun said his son's mother came over to bring him his car and drop off his son for a visit when his son's mother's boyfriend pulled up in a truck to pick the woman up. The man said the truck's driver looked at him funny and then lifted his shirt to reveal the gun before the couple drove away. When deputies caught up with the truck, they instructed the people inside the vehicle to place their hands out of the window and cautiously approached the car. The deputy reportedly found a 40-caliber handgun under the seat and the ammunition clip was allegedly on the man's lap. The man said he didn't know the gun was in the car until he got in the truck

Possession of marijuana with intent, weaving over roadway
East Oglethorpe Highway, Hinesville

Deputy Larry Bell pulled over a car he observed weaving across the roadway. Deputy Bell approached the driver and asked for his license. The deputy reported the man said he did not have one with him. Bell reportedly noticed the man trying to hide an object by pushing it between the driver's door and the seat. Deputy Bell asked the driver to place his hands in plain sight while the deputy opened the car door. The deputy said he found a small bag of what appeared to be marijuana next to the driver's seat. The deputy asked the man step out of the car, placed him in handcuffs and asked him if he had any other drugs; the man allegedly said he did. The deputy found more bags on the man and called for MACE agents to collect the evidence. The man reportedly told the deputy he was on felony probation for possession of marijuana.

Aggravated assault

Deputy Wade Long was dispatched to a reported stabbing that took place when a man stabbed his brother for allegedly taking his Play Station 2 away. The victim was taken to the hospital while his brother was taken to jail.

A father said he thought his son put sand in his gas tank as retaliation for kicking him out of the house.

Deputy Jay Smiley took a report from a man who said he bought a ring for $637 and placed it on his kitchen counter. He said when he woke up the next day, the box was still there but the ring had been removed. He told the deputy his door does not lock properly.
