The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is looking to help the county’s Texas namesake, The Liberty County, Texas, Sheriff’s Office, by accepting donations for the recovery of officers who suffered losses to Hurricane Harvey.

"In spite of being personally affected by Hurricane Harvey, the men and women of the sheriff’s office continue to diligently serve the citizens of Liberty County, Texas," LCSO Sheriff Steve Sikes posted to his Facebook page.

Liberty County Texas sits between Houston and Beaumont, all decimated areas impacted by severe flooding.

You can bring money donations or send a money orders to the sheriff’s office at 201 South Main Street, Suite 1300, Hinesville, GA 31313.

Donations may be made online via PayPal to hurricaneharveryrelief@libertyso.org.

The LCSO will continue to accept donations until further notice.
