A Hinesville woman was among four people arrested Friday night in Coweta County in an undercover sting for allegedly selling methamphetamine.
A confidential informant contacted members of the Newnan-Coweta Crime Suppression Unit to report Dianna Rothacker of Hinesville as a meth dealer, according to Maj. James Yarbrough of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.
The informant contacted Rothacker, who reportedly agreed to bring a shipment of meth from Hampton to Coweta County, according to Yarbrough.
At about 11:20 p.m. Friday, Rothacker and three other passengers met the informant at a Marathon gas station on Collinsworth Road near exit 56 on Interstate 85. The gas station was surrounded by law enforcement officers ready to react once the sale was made, according to the major.
“She came down and delivered the drugs,” Yarbrough said. “There was a half-ounce of meth, or $850 worth.”
Rothacker and her
passengers — Joseph Patterson and Samantha Lynch, both of Hampton, and Kevin Massengale of Stock-
bridge — all were charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute.
