A Hinesville man pled guilty to charges of child molestation and was sentenced to prison on Monday, June 1, in front of Liberty County Superior Court Judge Jay Stewart.
Kenneth Lee Faulkner, 60, was sentenced to 10 years of confinement followed by 10 years probation on two counts of child molestation.
Faulkner had been charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation for allegedly sodomizing and fondling a girl between August of 2006 and July 2007.
The molestation charges were not prosecuted and the two aggravated charges were reduced to child molestation as part of his plea agreement, according to court records.
Faulkner was arrested in January 2008 and spent six months in jail before posting $11,000 bond in June. In September he was indicted by a grand jury and pled not guilty in a Dec. 12 hearing.
On Monday he went before the court with his public defender, Brett Williams, and entered into the agreement.
