A Snelson-Golden Middle School student told authorities on Monday that she was followed by man driving a white van.
The youngster, whose name has not been released by the Hinesville Police Department, told Officer Dennis Poulsen that she became uneasy during her walk to school when she noticed a man following her in a vehicle near Sagewood and Tanglewood drives. The girl called her mother to report what was happening and was told to rush to the school, where authorities were notified.
Police were unable to find the vehicle and told the girl to call 911 should the man return.
