LUDOWICI — A Long County girl, who went missing Friday, was found Saturday morning in Garden City.
The 13-year-old was reported missing to the Ludowici Police Department by her mother Friday evening. According to information provided by the LPD, the mother said her daughter had ridden the bus to school and got off at the school, but never returned home.
The teen was reported missing through the Georgia Crime Information Center and police and sheriff departments in the region were given a photo her.
On Saturday morning, the LPD received a call from the Garden City Police Department that the child had been located by them, and was safe and in their care. Later that day, the child was returned to her mother.
The incident is still under investigation, and more information on the case will be given as it is obtained.
