The 2012 Hinesville Safe Kids Day will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday on Central Avenue.

A 5K fun run/walk will precede events and start at 8 a.m.

The special guest will be Brian Rogers. He is a mixed martial arts fighter in the Bellator Circuit and also is a special education teacher in Kent, Ohio.

Rogers will sign autographs, take pictures, and talk to the kids about bullying.

Other sessions planned include fingerprinting children for ident-a-kits, proper installation of infant car seats, neighborhood watch program, bicycle safety, drunk-driving education and gun safety.
