Waldo Pafford Elementary School was the apparent target of a drive-by shooting about 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to Hinesville Police Maj. Thomas Cribbs.
No one was hurt, but officials say a bullethole was found in one vehicle parked at the school and there were signs of at least one other bullet ricocheting off a curb. In addition, three shell casings were found on the grassy area in front of the school, near the road.
Students were released to their parents, and the incident is under investigation.
The school is on West 15th Street Extension, off Highway 84.
