Shot fired into home, man injured fleeing

One man was injured when he was trying not to get hit by multiple gunshots fired at a home in the 1100 block of Cobra Circle in Hinesville this morning.

Police say the man, who has not been identified, was taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville when he cut himself jumping through a window. According to HPD Det. Butch Kesner, the man was not hit by gunfire.

During the investigation, the detective said it was discovered the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in the Augusta area.

Little other information was available about the 5:30 a.m. crime.
