Liberty County businesses can protect customers and employees by making them more aware of the weather, according to Larry Logan, assistant director of the Liberty County Emergency Management Agency.
Business leaders can help protect the community by getting involved in the National Weather Service’s weather safety and awareness program called StormReady, he said.
Logan said anyone can volunteer to be a StormReady supporter. If interested call the EMA at 368-2201 about volunteering.
According to the National Weather Service, StormReady is designed to help communities prepare for and mitigate effects of storms. It also helps establish an infrastructure with systems that will save lives and protect property.
