Strong storm moving across Fort Stewart

Strong thunderstorms are expected to impact parts of Liberty County this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

At 2:40 p.m., the service reported it had detected a strong storm over extreme northwest Liberty, moving northeast at 10 mph. Fort Stewart is reportedly in the path, but the report said the storm's is mostly over open areas of the reservation.

Conditions could include wind gusting up to 45 mph and dime sized hail.

Information from the Liberty County Emergency Management Agency said they are monitoring the storm’s movement.
