A Midway woman was killed Sunday when her 2002 Honda Civic collided with a 1999 Ford Explorer on E.B. Cooper Highway near Holmestown Road shortly before 10 p.m., according to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Adam Denton.
Lana Dee Whitcomb, 50, failed to negotiate a curve. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ford driver, John Milton Johnson, 62, received a cut to his right arm. Denton said speed does not appear to be a factor.
