Heavy usage caused two transformers in the vicinity of downtown Hinesville to blow out Thursday afternoon just after 3 p.m., according to Liberty Emergency Management Agency Executive Director Mike Hodges. Many residents in the area are without power, but Georgia Power crews are currently rerouting power to different transformers. They expect to have the situation remedied in 30-60 minutes.
