A truck and a car were involved in an accident Tuesday at Smiley Cross Roads in Long County resulting in two being injured.
According to information provided by the Long County Sheriff’s Department, at around 4 p.m., a car ran a stop sign at Smiley Cross Roads and hit a pick-up’s passenger side. The impact sent the pick-up into a nearby ditch and threw one person from the vehicle.
Two people involved in the wreck were air-lifted to hospitals by Life Star.
The accident still is under investigation; more information will be available later in the day.
