For anyone looking to qualify and have their names printed on ballots for municipal elections in the cities of Allenhurst, Gum Branch, Hinesville, Riceboro and Walthourville on Nov. 6, today is your last chance. The qualifying period ends promptly at 4:30 p.m. and applications will not be accepted after that time.
Those interested in vying for a mayoral or council seat in these municipalities, but miss this deadline, will have until Sept. 7 to file and publish a notice of intention to be a write-in candidate in this year’s city elections.
For more information on qualifying or becoming a write-in candidate,  call the Liberty County Voter Registration Office at 876-3310.
