State Representative Al Williams (D- Midway) was recently named Vice Chairman of the House Transportation Subcommittee on Ports and Local Government by State Representative Kevin Tanner, Chairman of the Transportation Committee.

“I am very honored that Chairman Tanner has named me vice chair of this very important subcommittee for another term,” said Rep. Williams. “Georgia’s ports are an integral part of our coastal region, and the work of this subcommittee and the Transportation Committee is critical to further developing the transportation infrastructure that supports our growing ports.”

Rep. Williams also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Public Safety and the Economic Development & Tourism, Game, Fish & Parks, Rules and Transportation committees. He is also a member of the Working Group on Creative Arts & Entertainment.
