The Georgia Public Health Association recently presented its Legislator of the Year Award to state Rep. Ron Stephens (R-Garden City) for his work on the State Public Health Study Committee. Stephens, a pharmacist, represents north Liberty County, particularly the Fleming area. With Stephens, center, is Dr. Doug Skelton, director of the Coastal Health District and president of the Georgia Public Health Association, and Dr. Kathryn Martin, administrator of the Chatham County Health Department.
