Hinesville, GA – The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Get Tanked Float Center on Thursday, February 11th at their location, 809 Willowbrook Drive, Suite 110, Hinesville.

Chamber & CVB CEO, Leah Poole, welcomed those in attendance and introduced Jimmy Shanken, Chairman of the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce. Shanken congratulated the owners and welcomed them as new members of the Chamber family.

Steven Dixon thanked guests for attending and shared his excitement about the new venture, “We can’t express enough how great all of the local businesses in this community have been to us.”

Bobbie Hoeher said, “We knew we could bring this service to Hinesville and help these men and women find a tool to help them with their struggles, physically.”

In 2019, Steven was in Afghanistan and like many returning from a war zone, he came home with PTSD. “He couldn't relax and was distant. He was having night terrors and insomnia. He was trying to cope on his own, as many do. We offered to find a counselor, anything to help him. It was Steven who found a float center. In just over a month, he had logged over 15 hours in a tank. We all saw the changes it made in him. When he explained what he had been doing, my husband went with Steven to try floating. He was hooked,” Bobbie Hoehner said.

Established in 1976, the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to support new and existing business, trade and industry within Liberty County, while increasing the cultural, civic, educational and overall quality of life of its citizens.
