Smiley sworn in, will serve City of Flemington
Smiley sworn in

At the regularly scheduled Flemington City Council meeting on May 14, Leigh Smiley was appointed unanimously to fill former Councilman Keith Moran’s empty seat until the end of the election term. Moran resigned during a regular city council meeting on March 12, due to his plans to relocate closer to family members. City leaders commented on the city’s website that, Moran served the City of Flemington “faithfully since January 2018, and will be missed by all” and wished him the best of luck in future. Councilwoman Smiley was sworn in on Wednesday, May 22 by Judge Nancy Aspinwall. Smiley’s husband, Jody Smiley, holds the Bible during his wife’s swearing-in ceremony.
