Spouses’ Club’s auction surpasses goal
Marne spouse club auction
Marne Community and Spouses’ Club President Michelle Guran places a bid during the live portion of the Beaches and Baskets Auction on March 2.

The Marne Community and Spouses’ Club’s (MCSC) annual auction, held March 2 at Club Stewart, exceeded its fundraising goal of $17,000.

The event, which included dinner and a live and silent auction, raised money for the non-profit organization’s scholarship and grant fund. The club is evaluating how to distribute the funds in scholarships for military dependents and grants for organizations that serve the Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield and surrounding area. Scholarship and grant recipients will be announced in May.

“The Marne community really pulled through for us this year,” said MCSC President Michelle Guran. “Through the generous donations of our military, business and community leaders we were able to offer more than 100 silent auction baskets and 12 stellar live auction items for bidding. We would like to thank everyone who opened their hearts and their wallets to support our cause.”
