ATLANTA — State Sen. Buddy Carter, R-Pooler, has been appointed chairman of the Senate Policy Committee.
The committee is responsible for gathering ideas and policies to be championed by the Senate and formulating an agenda for the upcoming session. The committee was created by Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers.
Sens. Renee Unterman, Bill Cowsert, Josh Mckoon, John Albers, Judson Hill, Fran Millar, Steve Gooch and Butch Miller also will serve on the committee.
“It is an honor to be named chairman of this important committee charged with developing new public policy that will grow Georgia for generations to come,” Carter said. “We must continually search for new ways to make this great state the center of economic growth, including tax and regulatory policies that allow private enterprise to thrive and create jobs statewide.”
