ATLANTA - Gubernatorial candidate Karen Handel has conceded her runoff for the Republican nomination, saying she will not seek a recount against Nathan Deal.
The recount, by law, is automatic when candidates are separated by less than 1 percentage point. But Handel said she is endorsing Deal's campaign so they can focus on running against former Gov. Roy Barnes, who won the Democratic nomination in July's primary.
