State Rep. Al Williams is calling a town meeting for Thursday to inform the public on the state’s financial situation and possible solutions.
Williams said people are concerned about the economy in general, as well as specific areas like education and transportation.
The Midway Democrat said he is inviting representatives of the governor’s office, the budget office, the state Department of Human Resources and the state Department of Community Health.
Williams also said he hopes to have representatives of U.S. Rep. Jack Kingston and Georgia’s two U.S. Senators.
The public meeting is set for 7 p.m. Thursday in the county commissioners meeting room.
