Sunday evening wreck claims life of one motorist

A three-car accident claimed one person’s life Sunday evening in Long County.

According to authorities, a car struck a pickup being towed by another vehicle around 6:45 p.m. on Highway 84. Three people were taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center, where one motorist was declared deceased.

The accident occurred near Highway 84’s intersection with Murray Crossing Boulevard.
