Target employees hospitalized after small fire

Two Target distribution center employees in Midway where transported to Liberty Regional Medical Center In Hinesville Saturday afternoon following a small fire on a riding floor cleaner according to Liberty County Fire Services Chief, Brian Darby.

The fire broke out around 1:15 pm and was quickly extinguished using a fire extinguisher according to Darby. About an hour later an employee who who was in the area began to complain of respiratory distress. While emergency medical personnel were on scene taking care of the patient another employee began complaining of chest pain. Both men were taken non emergency to the hospital by ambulance. Darby said a mixture of the smoke and extinguisher may have caused the reaction. 

Both employees are expected to recover.
