On Friday, Nov. 2, Target presented Liberty County Pre-K Center with $300 as a contribution to their new incentives program, which will work to encourage the students to achieve perfect attendance.
The program, which was thought up by Liberty Pre-K Assistant Principal Bronwyn Smith, will reward those students with perfect attendance by providing them with a reward, Smith said.
“This is a one-time donation from Target,” Smith said. “The money will be divided up over the next three grading periods, and will be used to purchase a bike and helmet for the student whose name is drawn.” The name drawn will be chosen out of the pool of students that achieved perfect attendance each grading period.
"We want this to promote good attendance, as well as reward them by engaging them in an activity," Smith continued.
