United Way kicks off campaign Sept. 6
UW campaign kickoff

A Liberty County delegation team is forming to join the United Way of the Coastal Empire campaign kickoff efforts on Sept. 6.

Community members will travel by bus from Hinesville to the civic center in Savannah. Roughly 1,100 people are expected to attend.

“We are creating a Liberty County delegation team to help bring synergy to the event from our area and promote the ‘one for all, all for one’ campaign theme,” Jennifer Darsey, area director for the United Way in Liberty County, said. “Our goal is to have 64 people from our community in attendance at the event.” United Way of the Coastal Empire serves Liberty, Bryan, Effingham and Chatham counties.

The United Way’s Community Fund supports 92 programs across 58 non-profit organizations, according to uwce.org.
