The outpouring of support for those working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

This past week the folks at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6602 in Hinesville feed folks who were working the evening shift at Liberty Regional Medical Center and local first responders.

Edward Perez, from the Veterans of Foreign Wars said they packed individual meals that were then distributed to LRMC personnel and first responders.

When he noticed they had plenty more meals to distribute they fed folks from Liberty EMS, Hinesville Police Department Hinesville fire Department and more.

“We are trying to keep our distances and keep everything safe but we got to show the support for our community,” Perez said. “A lot of the community supports the veterans and it’s time for us to give back.”
