The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6602 in Hinesville spent a morning recently making a difference in their community.
President Dora Morris and her auxiliary made a special visit to the Long County Sheriff Department and took with them baked goods, chips, dip and orange juice.
After a short visit with Peggy Nobles and several deputies, the next stop was the Ludowici Police Department. There, they left more goodies for the police officers and dispatchers.
Make a Difference Day is sponsored by the USA Today newspaper. Ten of the most outstanding projects will be awarded a $10,000 charitable donation from Paul Newman.
